About the Old Colony Council #249

The Old Colony Council Service Center, located at 2438 Washington St., Canton MA, is the operations center for all of the Council’s activities throughout the year.  The Old Colony Council Service Center is the catalyst for policy, planning, information, and most important, the stimulation and inspiration that mobilizes our tremendous volunteer organization.  The Service Center enables key volunteer leadership and community resources to promote and enrich the Scouting program for thousands of youth members in our three-district service area.

The Old Colony Council covers forty-one cities and towns, broken into districts. Squanto, Cranberry Harbors and Seven Rivers.

Mission Statement

The Mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
